Yadkin River Dental Spa is a privately owned family dental practice proudly serving Elkin, NC, and neighboring communities, including Mount Airy, Dobson, State Road, Yadkinville, Boonville, North Wilkesboro, Surry County, Wilkes County and Yadkin County. Our mission is to deliver a relaxing, wellness-focused dental experience by combining spa-like comforts with modern dental technology and comprehensive, personalized care. We prioritize patient comfort and provide targeted support for dental anxiety so every visit feels calm and reassuring. From routine preventive care to advanced restorative and cosmetic treatments, our team is committed to thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that promote long-term oral health in a comfortable, professional environment.
Dr. Kamaira “Dr. K” Philips
Dr. Kamaira “Dr. K” Philips is an experienced general dentist and owner of Yadkin River Dental Spa, where she is passionate about changing the way people feel about going to the dentist. Her approach combines high-quality, comprehensive dental care with comfort-focused amenities and a calming, personalized experience designed to help patients feel relaxed, heard, and cared for.
Originally from Pinehurst, North Carolina, Dr. Philips earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing a Master’s degree in Physiology at North Carolina State University. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry and later completed a Master of Public Health degree through East Carolina University with a focus on health policy, administration, and leadership. She has authored or co-authored a dozen research publications in dentistry and been recognized with many awards for her work.
Dr. Philips enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with special interests in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, oral surgery, dentures, TMJ therapy, and helping anxious patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. She is committed to continuing education and advanced technology to provide modern, comprehensive care for patients in the Yadkin Valley community.
Outside the office, Dr. Philips enjoys singing classic rock with her local band, spending time with her husband and dogs, supporting small businesses, and serving her community through volunteer dental care and public health initiatives.
At Yadkin River Dental Spa, Dr. Philips and her team believe dental visits can feel different — more comfortable, more personal, and even something patients look forward to.
Dr. Brian Delehanty
Dr. Brian Delehanty is a general dentist who is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident about their dental care. He believes in treating every patient with kindness, honesty, and respect while providing high-quality dentistry in a calm and welcoming environment.
Originally from Mount Holly, North Carolina, Dr. Brian earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of South Carolina before going on to earn his dental degree from the UNC Adams School of Dentistry.
Dr. Brian enjoys building relationships with patients and helping people improve both their oral health and their smiles. He is committed to continuing education and modern dental technology so he can provide excellent care tailored to each patient’s needs.
He enjoys many areas of dentistry and works hard to make dental visits easier and less stressful for patients of all ages. He believes good communication and trust are an important part of great dental care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Kamaira Philips, their dogs, traveling, and being involved in the local community.
Together, Dr. Brian and Dr. K share a passion for helping patients achieve healthy smiles and positive dental experiences at Yadkin River Dental Spa.
